Picture yourself on a beautiful terrace enjoying private dining with fusion cuisine, surrounded by generous aromas and an open view. We slow down, making room for taste, ease and happiness. Conversation flows. Between courses, I share simple thoughts with the table.
I’m Simin.
I grew up in Iran until I was six, when my family moved to Germany — from chelo kebab to bratwurst, so to speak. In 2024, I was upgraded to Madeira.
For nearly two years, I travelled the world. I cooked in over 150 kitchens. In more than twenty cooking courses, I learned in home kitchens, within regional traditions, and at small culinary schools. I tasted unfamiliar ingredients and spices, felt the distinct flavours of each place — and carried that inspiration forward.
From the start of my journey, one question kept coming back to me: What makes us truly happy?
I began asking the people I met. In the end, I spoke with nearly 200 people from different continents and walks of life. Again and again, the answer was the same: our relationships.
That experience became Food with a View. Not as a conclusion. Not as an answer. But as a space — in my own home — where food and conversation create moments of connection.
And now we meet.

Simin’s home is beautifully designed and instantly makes you feel at ease. The view was a highlight for me, and the aperitif at the start was on point.
Each course felt like a small work of art, intense in flavor, surprisingly light, and with that certain something you don’t come across very often. You can really feel how much care and passion go into every detail.
Between the courses, small questions kept the conversations flowing naturally. Before long, people were exchanging thoughts, curious about one another and fully part of the moment.

The Evening

Arrival
We begin on the terrace with a welcome drink, before moving to the table for a five-course seasonal dinner.

The Dinner
There is no fixed menu. I cook mainly with what the island offers at the time. What ends up on the plate is a surprise — for you, and sometimes for me too.

Between courses, I step away from the table, leaving a thought or question — a gentle impulse that shifts the conversation.

Welcome drink, selected wines and non-alcoholic options.
Shared Tables
Each evening brings together a small circle of guests at one shared table.
Individual guests, couples, and small groups are welcome.
Shared Tables take place on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.

Reserve the entire table exclusively for your own circle of six guests — whether for family, close friends, a celebration, or a small business gathering.
A Private Evening follows the same curated five-course experience, entirely dedicated to your group.
For private evenings, one menu is selected for the entire table — either pescetarian, vegetarian, or vegan.
